ENTRY RULES & TERMS 2017
At the Indian Film Festival of Cincinnati, we screen premieres of feature, documentary and short films made in and about the Indian subcontinent or it's people or made by Indians. Entries can be in any Indian language but must be subtitled in English. Entries can be in the English Language. You may submit films already premiered this year as long as they have not been showed in Ohio, USA
ENTRY SUBMISSION RULES.
All films must be submitted via a password protected streaming link. Our preference is Vimeo links; however, we can accept links to other streaming sites including your own site, an unlisted private YouTube, etc. as long as the link is not public. If you are unable to make a streaming link of your film, please email us at Indianfilmfestivalofcincinnati@gmail.com. You may submit your films on our site or send link to the same day that you submit your work for consideration. DVDS will be considered. NO DVD submissions will be returned.
Please package dvds well. The Indian Film Festival of Cincinnati will not assume liability for any damage to entries due to poor shipping and handling. You will be notified if the screener arrives damaged or fails to play.
All film submissions must be uploaded or postmarked before DEADLINES ie. before May 15 to qualify for zero fees, After May 15 you are expected to pay $50 or the entry will be disqualified and required to submit with the proper submission fees. Waivers are granted via invitation ONLY. You will receive notification from us by August 15th.
If your movie is selected for screening at our festival, you must submit films on DCP for festival presentation. Blu-rays will be considered. DCPs with subtitles must have the subtitles embedded in the film file. Subtitles must be bold and visible.
No cash prizes at this, the second year of our festival. However, awards for Best film , Best actor and supporting actor, Best actress and supporting actress, Best Director, Best Cinematography , Best Music . Awardees will be informed and trophies will be awarded. We hope to award cash prizes in a few years as we grow.
